HAZARD IDENTIFICATION AND RISK ASSESSMENT (HIRA)

When planning prior to execution of a project, all reasonable hazards relating to the work to be performed should be identified and assessed, the associated risks quantified and suitable control measures identified to mitigate these risks. Such a process provides information that can assist to minimise or eliminate incidents during operations, and allow the contractor to meet their statutory obligations.

DETECH has specialists that can assist in performing such risk assessments, with emphasis on those relating to explosive or munitions hazards and underwater hazards. All such assessments are done using established risk assessment methodologies as well as a bespoke Munitions Risk Assessment Model that is used during our own non-technical and technical surveys.
